In Horticulture and Agriculture, V-Lite grades improve soil aeration while retaining moisture and nutrients to continuously feed roots, cuttings, and seeds for faster, maximum growth. It is sterile and shows very good anion and cation exchange properties. V-Lite is excellent by mix to substrates as well as a very effective topping to protect seedlings in the initial critical phases of growth.

In Construction, V-Lite is used as an ingredient for lightweight concrete, paints, spray-on insulation, and as a hollow brick filler. Due to its excellent absorption capacities, it is a widely used medium for Spill Containment.
